The U15B under Coach Miller were crowned tournament champions at the Memorial Day Classic at Edinboro University. After a 1-1 draw in regulation and overtime, the team won the championship final 4-3 in a penalty kick shootout against Northern Steel.  After 300 minutes of soccer throughout the weekend, the U15 boys have another championship to add to their resume.
Many thanks go out to the support of the players' parents and the relentless effort given by the boys on the field. A championship well deserved!

u12g lodi win

The U12 Girls Combined Team rang up four decisive wins by scoring 22 goals for and only giving up eight at the 2014 Northern Ohio Girls Cup in Lodi, OH May 10-11, 2014.  The U12's under Coach Ale Moreira and Asst. Coach Steve Pons stormed through the Division and the Semi-Finals playing their best soccer of the year.  The U12's fell 4-0 in a hard fought final to the Cleveland United SC (sixth ranked in the state of Ohio), but the game was much closer that the score indicates.

Coach Ale was very proud on how this combined U12 team came together and showed so much grit and determination throughout the weekend.  He is very excited about this team's prospects moving forward.

U15B champs Nike

The FC Pittsburgh U15 boys team were crowned champions at the Nike Cup Challenge.  After a 1-0 win and a 1-0 loss in the first two rounds, the team seemed deflated going into their final contest of the tournament which was held in Dublin, Ohio. They needed a big win to have a shot at the finals and the team delivered. Four goals put the team through to face the Toledo Celtics 98/99 in the final. The match went 70 minutes without a goal and following two 10-minute overtime periods, a penalty shoot out would dictate the winner. Owen Harkins, Jon Wicker, and Justin Densmore buried their opportunity from the penalty spot and Adam Dolan made a full stretch save to his right to win 3-2 on penalties. It was a great tournament for the boys and a job well done! Coach Miller and Coach Nash are very pleased with everyone's effort and performance and look forward to the rest of the spring season.
