FC Pittsburgh is proud to have Adel Heder as the head coach of the U-14 girls’ program.
Heder currently is the Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) head women’s soccer coach. He is in his 11th year and has led the team into the upper echelons of the PSAC and Atlantic Region divisions. The program has won division titles, reached the NCAA playoffs and achieved a 117-58-7 record during his tenure. Over 70 players from the IUP program have received recognition at the NCAA Regional or PSAC Conference level. IUP team accomplishments include the following statistics:

On a personal level, Heder holds an USSF "A" license and is the recipient of the 2001 and 2006 NSCAA Regional Coach of the Year Awards, as well as the 2001, 2004 and 2006 PSAC Coach of the Year Award.
Prior to coming to IUP and FC Pittsburgh, Heder led the Kiski Area High School boys’ soccer program for over 10 years. During his time with Kiski, Heder led the team to a WPIAL Class AAA Top 10 ranking in 1996, and he was selected Section V Coach of the Year in both 1993 and 1996.
Past roles include Director of the Pennsylvania West Olympic Development Program and Director of Coaching for the Pittsburgh Strikers Soccer Club. While serving as head coach for the U-13, U-16 and U-18 Pittsburgh Strikers girls’ teams, Heder led his teams to seven PAWest State titles.
