FC Pittsburgh’s Rhonda Gottschalk is the head coach for the U15 girls’ program.
For the past two years, Gottschalk has served as the assistant coach for the Duquesne University (DU) women’s soccer program. Before going to DU, she served as an assistant coach at Ashland University for both the men’s and women’s programs. During her time as the assistant, Ashland made two NCAA tournament appearances, won a Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference championship and was ranked in the Top 25.
In the year prior to joining the staff at Ashland, Gottschalk was a student assistant coach with Concord’s women’s soccer team. She also coached with Pennine United Soccer Club (Ohio) in coaching player development.
Gottschalk enjoyed a successful playing career at Concord. She played on the 2002 team that won the WVIAC women’s soccer championship. Gottschalk was a second team All-Conference selection in 2003 and an honorable mention All-WVIAC choice in 2002. She was a team captain in 2003 and 2005. In 2006, she was honored with the Senior Scholar Athlete Award.
A native of Greencastle, Indiana, Gottschalk is a member of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) and holds a NSCAA National Diploma (Distinguish Pass) and two USSF Licenses.
