FC PITTSBURGH ACCOLADES

Congratulations to Coach Andrew Marshall who was selected PIAA Coach of the Year!   Coach Andrew and his Quaker Valley Quakers were Section Champions, WPIAL Finalists, and PIAA State Champions.  FC Pittsburgh players who are also members of the state championship team are:

KATHERINE BLAUGRUND - FC Pittsburgh 01/00G Team

Katherine, a junior at Quaker Valley, was selected for both All-Section and All-WPIAL honors following this fall’s soccer season.

 

EVAN BLUNKOSKY - FC Pittsburgh 00B Black Team

Evan plays for West Allegheny High School and was selected as All-Section Finest 15 for WPIAL AAA Section 2 high school soccer.

 

BETHANY BONNAR - FC Pittsburgh 01/00G Team

Bethany attends Beaver Area High School and was selected for both All-Section and All-WPIAL honors following this fall’s soccer season.

 

BRANDON FRANCIS - FC Pittsburgh 00B Gold Team

Brandon, from New Brighton High School,  was recognized as "Finest 15" for his district/division along with other students from Quaker Valley, Riverside, South Side, Beaver, etc.

 

SAMUEL GUZZO - FC Pittsburgh 00B Black Team

Samuel, who plays for Avonworth High School, was recognized as All-Section and All-WPIAL for the past season.

 

DEMETRIUS HOWE - FC Pittsburgh 03B Gold Team

From Carlynton, Demetrius received Honorable Mention.

 

EVAN MERKEL - FC Pittsburgh 00B Gold Team

Evan is a member of the Shadyside Academy WPIAL Championship team.

 

GABE PREPELKA - FC Pittsburgh 00B Black Team

Gabe, also from Carlynton, received All-Section honors.

 

BRENDAN SHANTZ - FC Pittsburgh 03B Gold Team

Brendan is a member of the Cardinal Wuerl North Catholic high school varsity team who was undefeated in section play. The team was the WPIAL Section A Division Champions and PIAA Single A Division Runner up.
